Download and install the Qualibrate Client

To download and install the Qualibrate Client follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the top-right corner of the main Qualibrate screen.
  2. Expand the user menu then click the Download option. 

  3. Click on the Qualibrate Client. The Qualibrate Client download will start immediately.

  4. Navigate to the download folder and look for the installation file.

  5. Double-click the installation file. The Qualibrate Client Setup Wizard will start and guide you through the simple, straightforward installation process.
  6. You can select your installation folder if needed. We recommend installing the Qualibrate Client in the default location.
  7. When ready to install, click the "Install" button.
  8. To complete the installation, click “Finish”.

That's it! You have installed the Qualibrate Client and QFPCli. The following shortcut icon will be added to your desktop:

 

We will be connected in less than 2 minutes. Just follow the next instructions.

Connect to the Qualibrate server

You can  double-click the desktop icon to start the Qualibrate Client. The Qualibrate Client will be displayed among your other running programs in the system tray. The Qualibrate cloud icon should appear grey informing you that you have not yet connected to the Qualibrate server. If it is the first time running the Qualibrate Client, you will be presented with the settings screen.

The Qualibrate Client Settings window will be displayed.

To connect to the Qualibrate Client you need to:

  1. Fill in the following information:
  • Hostname - the hostname represents the link to your Qualibrate environment (Usually is the same web address used to connect to the Qualibrate environment on the web)

for example https://*companyname*.qualibrate.com/ where *companyname* is specific to your environment.

  • Username and Password - these represent the login credentials for your Qualibrate environment. Please contact your internal Company Administrator for more details.
  • Enable Web Proxy - ability to configure your proxy settings, if you are using proxy.
  • Start on Windows Startup* - ability to Disable/Enable the auto start the Qualibrate Client on Windows startup.
    NOTE: Start on Windows Startup function is enabled by default (Qualibrate Updater starts on windows login). 
  • Check for Updates on Connect* - ability to use a checkbox option to disable/enable the automatic check for updates when connecting to Qualibrate.
    NOTE: Check for Updates function is enabled by default.

2. After you complete all the requested information click “Apply” to save.

3. Right-click on the icon in the system tray (lower right side of the screen) and select the Connect to QFP option to connect the Qualibrate Client to the Qualibrate server.

After the connection is successful, the updater will check for updates and install them. During this process the Client's icon will turn orange in the system tray.

You will be shortly prompted when the adapter is connected and the Qualibrate Client icon will change the color to Blue.

Identify your default adapter

Colored indicator on the right botulinum of you User profile icon shows the status of your adapter:

 Green - connected

 Red - disconnected

When Configuring the Qualibrate for the first time on your machine you have to select the default adapter (the name of your machine), which will be used by default when recording and execution.

To select the default adapter please follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the User profile icon.
  2. Select Adapters option. Default devises window will be displayed.
  3. Click on the name of the adapter you want to use as a default one.

The default adapter will be set.

You can also deregister the adapter 

  1. Click on the User profile icon.
  2. Select Adapters option.
  3. Click on the Manage Adapters option. List of your registered adapters will be displayed.
  4. Click on the Delete icon next to the adapter you want to deregister.

Adapter will be deleted from the list.

Updating the Qualibrate Tools

If you want to check for updates afterwards you can do it manually by following the steps below:

  1. Rightclick on the Qualibrate Client icon in the system tray;
  2. Select the Check for updates option from the adapter menu.

If there are any updates for the tools you checked above, they will get downloaded and installed automatically. Once the Qualibrate adapter is ready to use the following pop-up will appear on the right-bottom corner of your screen.

You will be shortly prompted when the adapter is connected and the Qualibrate Client icon will change the color to Blue.

Download the Chrome Extension (Optional)

Qualibrate supports different technologies. In this article you can find more information about supported UI technologies: https://support.qualibrate.com/hc/en-us/articles/213687129-UI-Technology-Support.

To be able to record on Chrome browser you need to install the Chrome Extension. 

Please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the top-right corner of the main Qualibrate screen.
  2. Expand the user menu then click the Download option. 
  3. Click on the Chrome Extension option. Google stope will be opened.
  4. Add the extension to your Chrome profile.
